Shake & Shiver

my dreams curl inside me

folding in on themselves
knowing they may never
fully breath in life
shake and shiver

they stop and start

every day they try to

breathe in new life

but life will not let them live

shake and shiver

i want to break them free

and give them life

but the fear inside

beats them down

shake and shiver

maybe tomorrow

when i wake up

the fear will be conquered

and my dreams will fly free
